Liposuction involves the draining of excess subcutaneous fat from parts of the body. It is
not a slimming cure, but a method of dealing with, for example, “middle-age-spread” and
“double-chin”.

Other popular treatments are on the inside and outside of thighs, the area around the knees,
and fat-rolls of the back on men.

Another example is the shaping of a woman’s calves. Surgery is undertaken using local
or general anaesthetic. The treatment leads to slight soreness, but is not very painful.
Firm bandage is then worn day and night for different periods depending on the part of the body
treated. Recovery is relatively fast.
